A style icon - both literary and sartorial, Joan Didion is a woman who drove a Corvette, wore oversized sunglasses and new the power of a good sable coat.
Deciding how to dress means choosing who we want to be. Confident. Appealing. attractive. Smart. Sexy. The idea that we are wearing our clothes, our clothes are not wearing us is the power of style. These are the items of clothes that Joan Didion had taped to the inside of her closet door, for when she had to pack at a moments notice. An idea we love.
As fans of both her writing and her excellent personal style we are very excited to see the upcoming documentary "We tell ourselves stories in order to live" which begins filming a few years ago around the time of her latest book, Blue Nights. The trailer launched alongside a Kickstarter campaign to help complete the project.
